A great article Doug. This absolutely crystallises my views on Obama. I have never seem such appalling and disgusting smears directed at a candidate as he has faced. It is a clear sign that the right and their religious bigot friends + Clinton and her power hungry cronies see him as a big threat. They will do anything, say anything to cast doubts in the public's mind.

I would certainly never vote for Clinton under any circumstances. She has smeared and deceived her way through this entire campaign and has totally lost any respect I may have once had for her.

As for McCain, he is genuine and honest - although sometimes completely wrong (as in Iraq) and an unpredictable hothead. I also am not convinced he will be able to resist the pressure from the evangelicals within his party if he gets to power.

Not only does Obama most definitely have the strongest convictions of any of the major candidates, he is very calm under fire. This is a vital attribute for someone hoping to be President.

Obama would make the best president and would certainly get my vote - I'm afraid to say I could never support Clinton and would reluctantly have to support McCain if Obama didn't get the Democrat nomination.

Mr. Obama is claimed to be a man of Christian conviction and action. His actions with respect to the hateful Rev. Wright who used the name of God in vain soliciting God's damnation of the US and who made patently false statements concerning the origins of AIDS are inconsistent with such a claim. For 20 years he attended, gave money to, and exposed his children to a man, who purporting to be a man of religion, spread hate from his pulpit. A person of Christian conviction and action would not have done so. Obama spoke out only after the hate speech had become a politicial liability.

I stumbled on your website looking for information about weddings in puerto rico. Can you give me any information about the band and the plena band that you had? Also, who did the flowers and cake? Everything looked beautiful! Congratulations!

Hiya, Doug!

How's our groom? BTW, get ready to hear the following words over and over and over again: "Where's the groom!?!" "WHERE'S the GROOM!?!" "WHERE'S THE GROOM'S FAMILY?!?!?"

I just read the latest update on your site re your pre-wedding adventures.

Sorry to hear you had a rough trip, but thought your comment about finding Kelly and cheering right up was awfully sweet! It still sucks about the plane though.

Nobody’s more sympathetic than I when it comes to horrifying plane trips from hell and the alarming amount of freaks, trolls, vulgar, impolite, crude, grotesque creatures that try to pass themselves off as human beings. Having crossed the Atlantic more times than most migratory birds, I personally feel babies, toddlers, ill-behaved teenagers, drunk businessmen, and smelly Europeans should be made to fly in the cargo hold. Or better yet, strapped to the landing gear.

In any event, it sounds like you've got everything running like clockwork, despite the incessant ticking of the giant countdown alarm you all must be hearing tick tick ticking away in your heads. Little advice, don't let it win! Don't concentrate on it! Otherwise, it'll turn into a freaky Edgar Alan Poe thing. Tick tick tick. Am I freaking you out yet? Please forgive me. It’s stronger than the both of us. I’ve got to tease my favorite little newlyweds a little before the “I DOs” even if I’m not going to be there in person.

I pray to God you and Kel have gotten my emails about that. On the other hand, it looks like Stephen, Eileen and I will be there with bells on in Cincinatti! Hey!!!! Good Luck! Lots ‘o LOVE to entire Garity/Dalton clans.

Thinking of you,
Julie
