Kelly and I are in PR. We had originally planned to come back in late October, but we close on the house then so our next window would have been early December. We decided to surprise everyone, particularly Mima for her birthday. We got in Wednesday morning around 11 AM after a pretty sleepless red-eye. We surprised everyone in succession, starting with Mima & Daddy, then Fifi & Ramon, then Titi Ingrid on Wednesday. Ingrid held her tongue so we could surprise Billy the next evening. We popped by Tommy’s office on Friday, but missed him and the word slipped out anyway. All in all, the surprise was pretty successful.
Kel picked up some sort of bug on the plane and it made itself know Friday night. We spent most of Saturday resting up and studying for our PADI Open Water Diver course scheduled for this morning. We were supposed to take this class the week before the wedding, but were just too busy to do it then. Anyway, the bug unfortunnately did not let Kel go, so I had to go it alone. If all is well later in the week, Kel will take the course then.
I had a lot of fun at the couse taught over at Scuba Dogs. The instructors were great! At the end of the course, we played underwater frisbee and toss. That was an unexpected treat after intense practice. Rolling over in 15+ feet of water and looking up without holding my breath was a pretty amazing experience. I cannot wait to dive in the open ocean. That will happen when we return to PR in early December to pick up Kel’s cats and take them to their new home in Las Vegas. That will be the last step of our move.
Well, I’ll wrap up for now. The day of scuba really kicked my but and I need to hit the rack.
Love to all.
Doug
